Joel and I will be at Otakon this year again... he PROMISES that there wil be an update before then, and I'm hoping that Otakon will inspire him to draw a few more comics afterwards...

BIG NEWS!!!!!
NO, I don't just mean I updated two days in a row
We finally got our forum up...
Talk About Comics dot Com is the NEW PHP-BB host of our new forum... and about a zillion other web-comics' forums... People who know either me or Joel in real life should go there an post right after reading this so that we know your actually checking the siite here...
Plus some posts would let me abuse... I mean experiment with my forum mod power... I've posted on many PHP-BB boards, but I've never had mod powers...
Also... people we don't know should post there so we know you're reading the site :-D
Also, minor updates to the links and forum backpages, as well as a new "link us" banner...

I don't have a lot to talk about since the last news update....
Really the only comic-related thing I have done is wait for the next comic, and write a few scripts... apparently "Tcepsa" is trying somthing different with the art-style again...
I suppose i could mention that in my search for personal Wisdom in 2005 I have begun reading the one-year-bible... and the Hitchhiker's guide to the Galaxy (and the 4 other books in that series)... Actually, I think I'll find more wisdom in HHGG... but we'll see ;)

I did some mid-minor updates to ALL the back pages, the only one I will draw to your attention is forums page (as of today), and the top 10 comics page (if you haven't seen it since we added our editor's top 10 early in November).
Doing things like this seem to be popular amongst our favorite reads... here is Dave's Review of LOTR:The Third Age.

Nov. 1st, 2004: ELECTION SPECIAL
Lots to talk about since the last news update. First... go vote tomorrow (or today if you're reading this on Tuesday, or yesterday if you're reading this on Wednesday or... etc. etc. etc.). As a man who recognizes the wisdom of South Park, I know the election is between a Giant Douche and a Turd Sandwich... Joel and I, however, half-heartedly endorse Kerry as the lesser of two evils, and whole-heartedly endorse Not-Bush.
In HOF news Joel and I have been talking and regular updates are stil a ways off... he would like time to play with art style and such... if you'd like to see regular updates sooner... email him with death threats and tell him to lower his artistic standards :-P... still check back every so often becuase there will be a new comic every 2 weeks or so untill we get to the regular updates stage...

Welcome! Nice to have you here--as Dave has mentioned, this is our webcomic, House Of Fools. As of now, it basically focuses on the wacky hijinx of Dave and Joel, two characters loosely based on the two characters from which they derive their names (and some of their adventures--for example, I recently did acquire a fountain, though I haven't taken it to work).
Anyway, we're hoping to do weekly updates soon--I'm in the middle of moving to a new place right now, so my computer will be down for a while and I'm not going to have connectivity, so it's going to be a little tricky for me to update ;)
And I guess that's all for me for now--enjoy!

Joel is busy cranking out frames of comic... I feel bad because due to a bust houseguest I didn't get much site design done this weekend... I however have uploaded a new news archive page, and Joel's and mine top 10 favorite webcomics, tho that page is incomplete... keep checking back for updates.. ESPECIALLY when there will (eventually) be a message in this very box which says we have ended construction and planning, and have begun to do normal operations...

I'm still playing with color schemes... it's difficult to decide how much color to use considering that the comic is in Black and white, and will probably stay black and white forever... hopefully I'll pick a good color set so that I can start with the back pages soon
On a side note... going out of my way to make the site friendly for those users with low bandwidth, small screens and/or other problems common to low-end machines... I hope all you LYNX users appreciate it ;-)

Joel and I are both busy creating the house of fools comic and web-site... we'll be starting out with just one update per week, but as we get used to the demands of the comic it is possible that our updates will happen more frequently. Also, our site is not yet complete... check back soon for updates. We plan to have the site finished, and have the first few comics in the queue by mid september
